What if Kevin Nash remained Shawn Michaels’ bodyguard?
This question is a little easier for me to answer. Diesel was, of course, the body guard of then heel Shawn Michaels. When he debuted he didn’t do a lot, then he started powerbombing people in the middle of Michaels’ matches and letting his abilities be known. He, in my opinion, along with the Undertaker are the greatest big men ever!!! But, I don’t believe it would have been different if he remained Michaels’ bodyguard because it was Vince’s plan to make Diesel a star. Why do you think he put him with the most popular wrestler at the time? Vince McMahon very slyly slipped Diesel in back of his biggest star knowing that he had a crown jewel. After that we all know the WWF success and WCW successes that would follow for Nash as he carried WCW while all the other stars were taking breaks. Nash has a well deserved rest. But his whole career shows he wouldn’t have stayed behind Michaels very long.
What if WCW was as vulgar as the WWF?
What a fabulous question! Would the WCW have the all important mic skills to compete with the WWF? I think so. Give the mic to Ric Flair and Roddy Piper with the great interviews they give and it would be a career revitalizer for those guys!! You also have the Macho Man, who already is giving us a taste of vulgarity in WCW. How about Scott Steiner – a perfect heel to cuss at the crowds. Scott Hall would benefit from a new WCW more than anyone with his cocky attitude. Then we have the women Gorgeous George, Medusa, Mona, and the Nitro girls. Put them in thongs and bikinis and you would have a sexual WCW!!!! Look at all the possibilities with a spruced up WCW. When it comes down to it today, people want to see women, mouthing, and mic skills over wrestling. The WWF got it while the WCW is still in the dark.
What if Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels never broke up? (Question by: Wolvie1x)
Well, what a break up it was! Jannetty going through a glass window and Michaels turning heel. If the Rockers would have stayed together, then obviously they would have been the greatest tag team ever. But that means we would have never gotten a chance to see the great Shawn Michaels go through as a singles wrestler. Michaels’ career took off after the break-up and Jannetty’s sank faster than the Titanic. Just wonder…how many tag titles would they have compiled? Michaels became the biggest star from 1993-1997 and was in countless main events while Jannetty popped around independent leagues and had a short lived IC title reign in the WWF. Michaels obviously had the gift to perform and Jannetty didn’t – or wasn’t given the opportunity…you decide. Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty’s break is stereotypical of all tag teams. They almost always break up in the end. Just think if Jannetty had been the one to turn on Michaels, maybe the end results would have been the opposite. But, Vinny Mac saw talent in Michaels and he was right. So what happened, happened. I guess it depends on if you are a Jannetty fan or a Michaels fan to really decide…was it good or bad?
What if Ted Turner and Vince McMahon were not enemies, but best friends? (Question by: Tim White)
A question has been posed to me: what if Vince McMahon and Ted Turner were in fact friends and not enemies? Let’s Look at the possibilities!! First of all, would there be as much competition? Would Stone Cold and The Rock have to play such vulgar characters? Would Schiavonne have to always say “We are the best don’t turn over to the other company’s show!” Would Eric Bischoff talk bad about his bosses friend on TV interviews? Who would be where? Might the two friends share stars…maybe Hogan could be on RAW one week and Austin on Nitro and then back and forth. Would the networks, TNT and USA be as interested if competition went down due to their friendship? What if both men decided how to run each other’s companies? What if McMahon took advice from Turner and vice versa? Would we ever see a WCW -v- WWF ppv? If so, who would win…who would book the feuds? Would wrestling be appealing if there wasn’t that bitterly hated competition? What if the ratings weren’t as high because both men are rich and would tone down their product? Basically would both leagues be like WCW? Would McMahon need to be on TV? All questions and all with numerous answers. You probably wouldn’t see Brisco and Patterson making fun of Hogan! Schiavonne wouldn’t poke fun at Mick Foley! Would wrestlers ever leave their respective leagues knowing both are run basically the same way? What if Vince McMahon and Ted Turner were friends…would wrestling be as appealing?
What if Hogan never went to the WCW?
Do you think that the WCW would have risen out of the southern slump that they were in? I don’t! Sure the WCW has Flair, Anderson, and some good tag teams, but I cannot believe that the WCW would have had the influx of great talent that they had if Hogan wasn’t there. Think, the WWF would still be number one. Macho, Luger, Hall, Nash; they would all still be there! Shawn Michaels would still be a Rocker, there would be no Stone Cold Steve Austin, no Hart Foundation, and even worse, there would be no WWF Championship for the Undertaker. The Clique would be running the WWF: Razor would probably be Intercontinental Champion, Diesel would probably be World Champion, and the Rockers would probably be Tag Team Champions! The European Champion would be the New Englander, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and the Lightweight Champion would be the 1-2-3 Kid! Ugh! Furthermore, if Hogan didn’t go to the WCW, would all of the old-timers still be wrestling? Would Flair be “WHOO”-ing all night long, would Macho be going crazy every night…would DDP be a star? So what do YOU think, Hogan to WCW = good or bad?
